Vocabulary Update: Geography and Dinosaurs

Recently, our vocabulary has grown immensely! Here is our geography and dinosaur vocabulary update! Lightning Core is working on building out its base vocabulary to meaningfully hit 3,000 words. When the project first started, it started with an estimated 1,500 words. Building vocabulary is an essential part of this process that requires time and effort. Words have to be picked and placed individually, their symbols selected, and their colors chosen. This process can be a lengthy one.

In the past week, Lightning Core has added over 250 additional new words centered around geography and animals. Oceans and waterways can now be explored, as can landforms and what creates them. There’s also an entire encyclopedia of dinosaurs! This language can build out experiences in science classes, allow people to describe where they are, let people share their interests, and so much more. Much of this vocabulary is still under construction like its layout and background colors. Most of its symbols have been chosen, so right now a page of white boxes with random or no icons appears with correct vocabulary. Very confusing, and not very helpful! And still more vocabulary needs to be added for each of these topics. But for now it's a start, and it’s a start that gives over 250 words to describe and name these topics.
