Here I am, launching my website. Yes, this was supposed to be out two months early but I got my service dog in training and things got delayed so instead I am scrambling to get it up before the Fall semester starts. Here’s the first blog post to announce what this website will feature.

  1. My personal portfolio

This site will be a place for my personal work history, experience, and CV. You can get to know me personally and professionally through these pages and find plenty of information out about me here. You can learn about the summer camp I have attended since I was a child and my time working with medium to high support needs clients. You’ll follow me as I get my master’s degree, do my clinic experience, and fall in love with my internship.

  1. My projects

This site will feature my projects, mainly my main project: The Lightning Core- a completely new way to think about robust AAC. It aims to start at 7,000 words and make its way to 30,000, starting with 5,000 more words than the typical ‘robust’ AAC starts with.

  1. My research

Much of my research will assist my projects, following the Lightning Core, and that research can be found in its own section here. If you’d like to read about what I’ve studied and why I’m making certain decisions in design choices, you can here. This will also feature other research like my work on Gen AI in AAC and potentially more down the line.

  1. This blog

This blog will share personal stories, life updates, project updates, and so much more. You’ll get to know me through this page as I share with you and you can subscribe to get alerts about posts. This blog will feature various topics that will populate as it expands and you can pick and choose what’s for you.

Okay, that’s a little about what’s going to go on here, and I hope to see you around.

Thanks,

Remiel Cooper
