Health Pageset

Many AAC users have complex health needs, so keeping track of our health and communicating about it becomes a vital part of life. That's where Lightning Core's Health Pageset comes in. It breaks health down into numerous sections in an attempt to reduce cognitive load through easier navigation. In addition, it accepts that health cannot be narrowed to one page. Therefore, it branches out, having headings and folders that lead to various other pages while maintaining the same motor planning so users are not left behind. This helps users not feel like they are starting from scratch as they have a template of what to expect on each page. Health topics often move fast, especially when emergencies are considered, so this pageset is meant to be easily navigated. There's a pageset for dire emergencies too; in fact there's three emergency sections- an emergency folder, a pain scale folder, and a button that communicates when you are in too much pain to answer. This jump starts communication and helps get emergent needs met while still allowing the communicator to be part of the conversation.
